Join us in our efforts to monitor and assess marine debris along the Cape Cove beach through the Marine Debris Monitoring and Assessment Project (MDMAP). This initiative, supported by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), involves monthly surveys conducted by volunteers and CPC staff. Together, we survey five-meter sections of the same 100 meters of shoreline every month when conditions permit. During these surveys, volunteers help record the amount and types of marine debris found on the beach. Additionally, volunteers assist in the removal of any marine debris encountered during the survey. By participating in MDMAP, volunteers play a crucial role in monitoring and addressing marine debris pollution in our coastal environment. Join us in making a difference for our oceans and beaches!
