iNaturalist for Beginners

Join CPC Field Guide, Jamie Kish, at the Cape Perpetua Visitors Center, for an afternoon of learning how to use the iNaturalist app.

Half the class will be spent on the deck of the Visitors Center, where guests will learn the basics of utilizing the iNaturalist app, with the second half including walking around the area using the app.

iNaturalist is a fantastic resource that we use for most of our programs year round, including in our beach, forest, or fungi Bioblitzes! Learn how to figure out flora and fauna identification, then plug into the Cape Perpetua Bioblitz Series where you can submit species sightings to the ever growing collection on the app that showcases the incredible biodiversity of the area!

Attendees will need to bring their phone/tablet with iNaturalist already downloaded, and of course your sense of curiosity!
