How to attend:
Just show up and look for the CPC table!
Cost:
No cost, although we always welcome donations!
Know before you go:
Smelt Sands is a rocky shoreline, so sturdy shoes are recommended. Make sure to watch your step on the wet basalt. The marine reserve is a protected area, so please tread lightly and avoid disturbing wildlife. Low tide is the best time to explore tidepools, so check a local tide chart before your visit.
Dogs are welcome, but must be leashed. Leashed pets will be rewarded with treats and pets from our volunteers! Weather on the coast can change quickly, so dress in layers. Wind and drizzle can make an appearance even on sunny days.
