Young Wavemakers Present: Isabella Saharek

During the summer of 2025, the Oregon Coast Aquarium youth volunteers came together and created this Tidepool Explorers Guide. We thought of what would get our beach visitors involved in a fun and educational way, specifically for younger audiences and families. Our goal is to encourage them to look for creatures, learn about the ecosystems on the coast and explore safely, all while having a tour guide in their back pocket! Cooper the crab will walk you through different activities such as crosswords, coloring pages and BINGO. As well as, showing you how to identify different species, the best tides to explore, how to prepare, and locating where to go. This booklet was a great experience all together, from planning, to creating, to then sharing them with the public! I am so excited to go into more details and share the whole process with you!
